We are proud of our up-to-date modern facility. We take extra care in providing a clean, modern environment in which to care for your pet. Our goal is to keep CVH in top condition, with clean and sterile conditions.

CVH has a lot of state-of-the art equipment. The lastest in film- free digital X-Rays, EKG, the latest in gas anesthesia machines, ventilators, critical care monitoring, intensive care units and in house blood chemistries are all things that help us to take better care of your pet in-house .

Colchester Vet Hospital uses an outside lab (Antech) to do a lot of laboratory work. All samples are picked up by 7 PM and most results are back (by teletype) by 7 AM the next morning.

Detailed medical records are kept on each pet and procedure. We have a staff of three medical transcriptionists who type all of the test results and doctors' notes on your petĘs record. Our computer has 18 terminals throughout the hospital so that we may access your pet's records at a moment's notice.

We value our employees; they all love animals, and are very caring. Your petĘs health is their primary concern. All employees receive extensive training on handling and caring for your pet. In addition, all employees receive OSHA training for their own safety as well as our patients'.

Directions to reach the hospital:

From the South: Take Route # 85 to Colchester, go straight through town until Route # 85 turns right at a stop light. At this stop light, do not turn right, proceed straight ahead for + mile. We are + mile from this light on the right.

From the North: Take Route # 2 to Colchester Exit # 17. At the end of the exit ramp turn left and proceed + mile, we are on the left OR take Route # 85 from Hebron to Colchester, as soon as you reach the first stop light in Colchester, turn right. We are + mile on the right.

From the East: Take Route # 16 into Colchester. Turn right on Route # 85 and proceed to the first light. At the first light leave Route # 85 and proceed straight ahead for + mile, we are on the right.

From the West : Take Route # 16 into Colchester, When you reach the center of town turn left. Proceed straight through two stoplights; we are + mile on the right from the last stoplight.
